UAE Nowcast ("the App") is a weather radar application that displays real-time rainfall data for the United Arab Emirates. We are committed to protecting your privacy.
Location Data: The App may request access to your device's location to show your position on the radar map and to send local rain alerts. Location data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
No Personal Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information, account data, or usage analytics.
The App fetches radar and forecast data from our server (nowcast.uaepro.me). These requests contain no personal data — only standard HTTP headers. Radar data originates from the UAE National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
If you grant permission, the App may send local notifications when rain is detected near your location. This processing happens entirely on your device.
The App uses Apple Maps for the base map layer. Apple's privacy policy governs the use of their mapping services. No other third-party services or SDKs are used.
All app preferences (theme, selected model, opacity) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. Cached radar images are stored in temporary cache that iOS may clear at any time.
The App does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The App is suitable for all ages.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
